Join us at the Basi House for a delicious introduction to the cuisines of Laos. The Lao believe that no matter where they are in the world sticky rice is the glue that holds the community together.

The Hmong on the other hand often prefer a heaping bowl of steamed rice with every meal. The cuisines may be different but both emphasize fresh ingredients to create nourishing foods that bond family and community. Dive deep into Lao culture by cooking delicious Lao and Hmong dishes at the Basi House.

Immerse yourself in the rich culinary heritage of Laos at the Basi House. The Lao are a lowland people while the Hmong primarily reside in the highlands of this mountainous country. The result is two distinct but equally intriguing cuisines that every visitor to Laos should experience. Our Basi House class introduces delicious Lao and Hmong dishes while illuminating the fascinating origin of each culinary tradition.

Our doors are open daily from 09:00  to 16:00.
